New Makeup:)

Heyyya,

Today I've decided to blog about some new makeup that I've been trying out and I'm actually really liking it. Most of these products are from the popular brand MUA (MakeUp Academy) and I am in love with this brand. *I'm sorry that there is a lot of lipsticks but I really like them;)* These (look left) are the products that I've been collecting and using. I've really been loving tinted moisturiser at the minute, I find it really nice on my skin and leaves a glowing, dewy look to my skin which I need as I have eczema and therefore have really dry skin!

These are the two BB creams / tinted moisturisers that I've been using recently. I think my favourite for everyday wear is the Nivea tinted moisturising day cream. The garnier BB cream is slightly thicker and darker so I use that more at the weekend. The only pitfall of the Nivea moisturising day cream is that it doesn't soak in like you'd expect a moisturiser to and when you apply powder the moisturiser comes off onto your brush which is really annoying. To battle this though I use the TECHniques buffing brush in the Sam's picks collection and I buff it into my skin a lot more than I usually would so that it does soak in. As I said, I love the finish that it leaves after I do this and think that it is a great way to care for my skin whilst covering it in makeup as well. So if you are like me and don't really like wearing foundation everyday I suggest that you invest in a tinted moisturiser for a lighter, healthy "foundation substitute" to a makeup look.

As I previously metioned, I have been loving MUA quite recently and in particular their matte finish lipsticks. I find buying lipsticks a real chore because I get such dry lips that it makes more sense for me to wear a tinted lip balm or a lipgloss. But I feel these lipsticks so moisturising and they have so many beautiful colours. I was really surprised at this, as 1 lipstick cost £1!!!!! From left to right the shades are - Pouty Pink, Peachy Keen, Totally Nude and Scarlet Siren. I love them all a lot but my favourite has to be Peachy Keen, it is a cross between a pink and an orange and is just really beautiful. Totally Nude is a beautiful browny nude shade, my only downfall about it is that it can look really nude so I wear it thinly and may apply my Ted Baker lipgloss to give it a little more life but I love them a lot!
The next two makeup items are again MakeUp Academy products and they are the bubblegum blusher and a bronzer in shade - 2. I've never really been one of those people that contours with a bronzers but actually it is a really nice shade and I just put it beneath where my blusher goes and then with the remaining bronzer on my brusher I bring it up onto my forehead and onto the bridge of my nose. I then blend it in. I don't use a lot because a little goes a long way and I don't like looking orange so I rarely use a substantial amount.
Onto blusher, I really like this one. It is really similar to one called Bon Bon, which is so pretty. It is again an orangy pink tone and so therefore goes really well with Peachy Keen. I love them both so much! Bubblegum is really nice applied on the apples of your cheeks and then blend up towards your forehead;)

Just quickly before my final product, I'd like to give the Ted Baker London mascara a mention. I love the brush that this comes with, it separates my lashes but also gives them a lot of definition for a 'False lash effect'. I love layering up my mascara but with this you don't need to. It give you fuller, bouncier looking lashes and I find that you don't even need to curl them before you apply this as you can just do it with the wand. Really rate it, and I need a new one because I'm running out;)

And last but not least, this No7 eyeshadow palette. My Dad gave me this about 4 years ago when he used to be like an engineering manager for Boots or something like that and I love it. The colours are all slightly shimmery - as you can see - and they look really pretty. I wear glasses and you can see the eyeshadow beneath which makes them look really defined.

Thank you again for reading and I will blog again in the future no doubt <3

Realising I need to eat healthier...

Hellö, - might be my new start ?!?

How is everyone doing? As I haven't been blogging for a while I kinda lost my line of thought with the whole beauty thing and I really didn't want to post about beauty so I decided to share with you my need to exercise at the minute.
One of my really good friends started going to the gym recently and she's inspired me but also, kind of made me realise that I don't do enough exercise. I also don't eat healthy enough which is really bad too and I think it's because of my life away from school. I say away from school, I mean sitting at home and doing homework for hours because I get so bored and I'm so tired that I can't exercise so I've decided to start a plan in my journal/diary 'if you like.' Here is a list of things that I aim to do:
1. A happier mind - okay so a prime example of me not having a positive out look on things is I walk home from school everyday and I used to not like it. I found it a really big chore because it is around a mile or maybe more I don't even know but I realise that it is really good exercise for me and it's a really good way to help me stay healthy.
2. Work on my figure - I don't want to be an 'it' girl with an hour-glass figure and the most toned body ever but I really just want to work out more. Just to make myself feel healthier. I also think doing this will help me have a better mind set^!
3. Generally eat healthier - I'm not the most healthy person ever because I believe that having a treat every now and again is fair. But, I do eat a lot of fruit and veg I just feel like I could cut down on how much I eat and control the stuff that I do eat.
4. Drink more water - I definitely don't drink enough water although quite recently I have been drinking more but certainly not enough. Drinking water for me helps hydrate my skin and is especially good for eczema so why I don't drink enough of it seems strange even to me. It'll also help to detox and I do like the detox waters that you can make for yourself. *personally I like lemon, grape and orange detox water. I don't drink them a lot but I've had a few and they're really nice*
5. Look at when I eat - I'm not one of those people that doesn't eat after 6pm or something like that because I like having a bowl of cereal or a piece of toast before bed. But I really do think I shouldn't eat as late as I do because when I don't have a snack before bed I wake up in the morning feeling fine and when I do, I don't feel very well. So I'm going to try and stick to no eating after 7pm.

That's it for today's blog, I'm sorry that there isn't any pictures and it's probably a bit boring but I'm hoping to do a beauty related blog very soon as I have some time off over the half term. I love you guys:)x

Today...

Aloha,

I'm back blogging! I took a little break because I had loads of exams and I just needed a little more time to myself and blogging wasn't what I wanted to do... But HEY I'm back and I'm looking forward to it. Today I decided to do a more down to earth diary type blog. But I can't really write about stuff that I've done today because it would be mega boring:
"Woke up, watched 1 episode of PLL, ate half an Easter egg, went and watch 315mins of PLL, made macaroni cheese, went out with Welly (you know who you are although you don't read my blog I don't think) came in, ate tea, got into pjs, texted people, sat in bed blogging...." Boring huh?...
So I'm just gonna type stuff randomly about what's happened or other stuff and see what you guys think...
Does anyone else just think, 'ugh, I have homework but then there's YouTube and you're just there like maths<YouTube?' Idk why that is at all relevant but it seemed like it today! I've just had a really rubbish day except for being with Welly (the weirdo) playing catch with a netball, playing truths and a deep game of would you rather. So it hasn't been all that bad I suppose.
I forgot to mention - HAPPY EASTER GUYS!!! I hope you've all eaten a lot of chocolate (or if you're like me, have strategically eaten smaller amounts everyday so that you have some left for when you actually want chocolate not just eating it because it's there;) If you don't celebrate Easter or didn't get chocolate for whatever reason then ignore this or accept my virtual Easter egg - 0
I've been trying out quite a lot of new hair care products recently as I've recently returned from a swimming holiday and I don't know whether it's just me but my hair goes a bit straw like and matted because of the chlorine so I've been testing different shampoo's and conditioners and really have found some combos that work well with my hair. I've never really stuck to one brand but Herbal Essences stands out for me at the moment for being one that I'm really loving. I'm really loving their coconut shampoo and their honey shampoo. I find them really nourishing for my hair and love the colours of the shampoo (which is just an added bonus).
I like finding something new that I love because it just makes me feel distracted from my normal routine and makes me look forward to new things that come up in my life.

Thank you for reading, I'm sorry if it was boring but comment below whether you like this style, as I find these easier to do and could maybe upload one every so often?

February Favourites!!!

Hello you,
First of all thank you for taking time out of your day to read this, it means a lot! Before you even read ahead I'd like you to comment below on how you are today!
***
So for you today I decided to do a February Favourites blog post because it is already March 2nd and I haven't done one of these before. I decided not to just make it centered around make-up because it is not everybody's cup of tea, and I don't update my make-up bag as often as I probably should. Also, I have some other things that I'd like to share with you.
***
First of all, I bought "The Pointless Book" and "Love, Tanya" with money left over from Christmas. I'm only around half way through Tanya's book and I am enjoying it a lot. However, I have not yet started reading Alfie Deyes' book because I'm too engrossed in Tanya's book at the minute. I love the layout of Tanya's book, and the way that it involves its readers in it-listing top ten ways to do things, top 10 moments etc. I also like how it gives us an insight into Tanya's history, some things we maybe wouldn't know about just from her YouTube videos and vlogs!
***
I also bought the bodycare 96 eyeshadow make-up palette. I use these more as base colours than my main, prominent eyeshadow colour as they are quite "weak" eyeshadows... they aren't as strong as other eyeshadows I have. However, I love these a lot because they are in 96 shades and there are a lot of different gradients of colours.
***
I'd also then just like to add that my friend bought me a notebook for my birthday like 2years ago and I love it so much. It has little monsters on it and I think it is from paperchase. I think I like it so much because the lines are quite big.. I have awkwardly large handwriting:* It just really cute and quirky - <3
***
Next, I have some more base eyeshadows. I'm not gonna go into much detail about these but they were from Primark, I think they were like 2 pounds or something but they are just really cute, portable and nice as base colours or on top of prominent colour to add a little glitter/sparkle.
***
And finally, I realized I hadn't shared with you what mascara products I use. So for a natural day to day look I tend to go for 1 coat of the No7 Intense Volume mascara. I have used this mascara since when I started using mascara (not the same one obviously but yeah) and I love it so much. Just one coat can intensify my lashes and give them a hell of a lot of volume. With having to wear glasses, it brings the worry that my make-up is hidden by the silver and blue frames of my glasses, but with this mascara, I feel as if my troubles have been solved and I'm free to wear mascara. I don't know about you but at school, I tend to keep my face natural, with only concealer on any big outbreaks of skin so I rarely wear it to school but it works so it is always there when I need it.

You'll also notice in the picture there is a smaller white bottle of "LashExtender". This is amazing! I don't use this very often because it can overpower a make-up look but when you need a substantial amount of mascara to make your eyes stand out this is my go to. It thickens mascara and you apply it inbetween coats, alternating between mascara and the product itself. It allows your eyelashes to become thicker and look bolder. It really heightens a smoky eye or a pale colour needing a little attention. I love it so much and really do recommend this to all my viewers and fans as it is just holy grail and a must have in a make-up bag.

Thank you so much for reading,

Lipcare?!

Aloha guys,

As you all know, in England it's pretty cold all the time and so today I decided to do a daily lipcare routine blog in the hope that you'll get rid of chapped, dry and irritable lips! I'm going to provide you with a range of products that are all high street products that you can pick up at your local drugstore!

Firstly, I have two of the most moisturising lip balms ever...well two of the most moisturising lip balms I've ever come across and not have I been looking! Firstly the Carmex little tub is one of my absolute holy grails when it come to winter because it not only locks in moisture and adds moisture, but makes lipstick more easily applicable to your lips! For a natural lip I would use this and then use the so...kiss me? Lip balm...yes it is the same as that amazing perfume!
I use these two together and I just think they hydrate and mend my lips so well! I'd also like to add that the so...? Kiss me one smells so nice, it's like the body shop strawberry scent, it's just so amazing!

Next up we have baby lips! Now I know that this is quite a cliché product, but it is a really good product and adds effortless moisture to your lips! And as an added bonus with the electro ones-or certainly the one I have- that it acts as a coloured lipstick whilst hydrating and moisturising your lips!
These 3 are my favourites as they all do unique things and are just so utterly gorgeous! The only flaw I've found is that pink punch (the one stood up on the right) seems to be a bit too soft and often leaves clumps of the balm on my lips! Leave in the comments below if you've had this problem/if there is a solution to this!

My final product is a recent purchase where I was just looking for something a little more colourful for my lips.
Although it may not feel like spring right now, I want to get in the spirit and start wearing brighter colours! So I looked and I found what if hoped for! This Kelly Brook lipgloss is from New Look! Yes, it is a lipgloss... Technically not lipcare... But it is superhydrating and adds a lovely colour to my lips!
Also can we talk about this amazing packaging, I mean rose gold<3 it's all so right! I think I was drawn in by the packaging and I know I probably shouldn't have been but I was and it is so gorgeous!

I'm going to end this blog here, I hope you guys like it and comment below!xxx

Supply teachers?!

Aloha,

Okay so my friend, let's call her "m" as I'm not going to share personal details about her without her say so online, has recently read my blog and she said it was good but suggested that I should do something others haven't done before and divert from just a mainstream stereotypical beauty blog! So I will still post about beauty but let's trial this!

So today I'm going to talk about supply teachers! Now I'm sure if you are still in full time education you know how...how shall I put this? Exciting it is for some people when we have a supply teacher! "M"s suggestion was for me to do a 'how to annoy your supply teacher' guide but actually I'm just going to rate my top 3 supply teachers so far and tell you their own little story about each!

So at number 3 is a guy we had for science whilst our teacher was ill and we just sat listening to him talk about chimneys! He claimed to be a science teacher but we got taught about chimneys;) it wasn't in our scheme of work but we had good laughs with him!

At number 2 we have this amazing Canadian guy for history and instead of doing the work set, we actually went round the room and when it got to you you were allowed to ask 1 question to the teacher about him! I remember I asked did he carry his lunch in a paper bag in England! He said yes! There were other questions such as say aluminium and if you haven't heard a Canadian person say it before look it up on YouTube, it's actually really funny!

And at 1, it's got to be our maths cover way back! We came in to see this poor woman writing on the smart board with a whiteboard pen! She realized her mistake and tried to clean it up but I swear we all have to look at that mark when we go in that classroom and laugh because it was a simple mistake but just made us all laugh at the time!

2posts in a day, God I'm good! I hope you like this and please comment below what you'd like to see more of and if this was a good post xx thanks xx

Shopping Spree :)

Aloha,

First of all, I'd like to say that I'm really sorry. I am leaving blogging... ONLY JOKING! No, I'm sorry that I haven't posted for a few weeks. I am not going to make excuses for myself because although I've had a lot of major big decisions that will shape the rest of my life recently. Especially my art project, still not decided on that one. Basically (going slightly off topic here) my stimulus is to do a project on 'Fear of dust'. Soooo... yeah if you have any ideas on how to help me with that it would be appreciated.

Anyways, quite recently I went on a shopping spree that was pretty big. I visited Peacocks, Lush, Primark, New look, Claires (etc). I bought some really nice products, clothes and accessories. I'm just going to say that my taste may not be to yours and so you shouldn't judge me. Anyway, the first thing I am going to show you is the Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder in the shade 004 sandstorm. I love this powder because it just gives me a natural glow and sets my concealer if I ever wear any. I don't wear a lot of makeup because I have eczema and I therefore have really sensitive skin but this seems to be ok, and I am gradually getting out of my sensitive skin stages.

Matte Powder, my cute 'lil brush

To go with this I bought a Primark essentials powder brush, which I ABSOLUTELY recommend to all of you! I was going to buy a real techniques brush but to be perfectly honest with you I felt like I would just be paying for the label. Honestly, for the little amount of powder I wear it is pointless buying it. But, I think that the Primark brush is so soft and I think that is more crucial than paying for a label. So no offence to Techniques Teenagers but I prefer the Primark brushes as they are soft and provide even coverage, which means that I'm happy, my brush is happy, and my face looks happy!

I also bought quite a few bits and pieces for my hair. I recently had my hair cut shorter and I just find that little things like grips and bows come in so much more handy and are used so much more now that putting my hair up in a bobble is strictly for PE only (the only time when I know I look horrible and I don't care (every other time I actually do care)). So I bought a big bow which is green tartan and I absolutely lovely. I bought this from new look for around 3 pounds. I also bought 2 smaller bows, one just normal black and one with really cute little daisies on. These were about 2 pounds and they were from peacocks too. I then bought some claw type grips, you know the ones I mean, with a light blue paisley pattern, a fuschia pink one, and a slightly darker blue paisley pattern one. I think these were 2 pounds from new look (bargain if you ask me). I then bought some of your bog-standard grips, 49p from superdrug if you wanted to know;)

  Bow and grips...

I fell like this post has gotten a bit boring so instead of writing about stuff I bought I'm just going to add the pictures I would have spoken about below. If you would like me in my next post to speak about them then please comment with a message below or post a picture of a pug with the hashtag #justagirlshopping and I will be sure to look although no-one will post because that was really random *hehe*

Well I guess this is goodbye until I post again which I am hoping to do by Friday because I let you guys down so you better be getting those hashtags up on instagram soon! Here are the pictures xxxx

NSPA body sprays in the scents exotically creamy
coconut and seriously intense passion fruit. I
bought these from Asda for less than 2 pounds.
Two chunky eyes eye liner pencils are from
Peacocks and are gorgeous. I use them for brows
too.
Lush products bought from Lush (obviously).
They smell amazing and look amazing. Honey bee
has oats in it apparently which is really good for eczema.
Just a little note about the lush products. I chose honey bee (to the right) and Ickle baby bot (to the left) on smells rather than luxury in the bath. I quite like having a lush product in my bedroom to give it a nice scent. What I do is put it in a box in my room whilst I'm at school or out and about and when I'm back I take the lid off my box and enjoy the scents filling my room! I love it so much and if you take anything from this blog it should be putting lush products in boxes :)

Thank you all, if anyone who reads it although I know one person who does and that is my bestie so go check out her blog - pheethebeaut.blogspot.com you'll like her blog more than mine <3
